They customised the little boat to fit into the cockpit of their 22ft Timpenny trailer sailor - (it had to be a Timpenny because Peter's Mum loved the self-tacking headsail)...

Mary Bickley Hanse Yacht Sales

Mary's passion for sailing began with windsurfing on the south coast of England and Portugal while at university.
One of few ladies participating in the relatively new sport Mary relished all styles from wave jumping to long board racing.
It was the emerging marina scene in Portugal that provided the introduction to yachts.
First boats were a Hartley TS 16 raced from Bayview's BYRA, followed by a Boomeroo 22.
Then came a Northshore 370 and the discovery of Ladies Tuesday night racing from the RPAYC.
Since joining Windcraft's yacht sales team in 2004, the Hanse 400 has been one of Mary's favourite models.
A six month cruise up the east coast of Australia with her family is a highlight of Mary's sailing career.
This was the achievement of a long held dream and has proved invaluable in helping prospective Hanse owners realise their own dreams.

Tim Vine Dehler Sales

Tim's sailing career began in trailable yachts spending family holidays cruising the top end of Myall Lakes, in addition to winning numerous state titles.
Tim then moved into keel boats when his family purchased their Northshore 38 'Sorceress', which they raced competitively most weekends on Pittwater.
Tim has been a regular campaigner in the prestigious Bluewater Ocean Series, his best results with a 9th IRC overall in the Sydney - Hobart 2009 onboard 'Imagination'.
Tim has a wide range of experience in yacht sales and brokerage, having worked in Melbourne, Sydney and the South of England.

John's passion for the sea has developed from his early years, being brought up along the beach from the yards of the famous Fife yacht builders in the village of Fairlie on the West Coast of Scotland.
Whether it be windsurfing, yacht racing, dinghy racing, cruising or sailing across oceans, John has grown up deeply engrossed in the sailing world and continues to share his passion with anyone who will listen!
Most of John's sailing in Australia has been done from the CYCA with clients, helping them get the most from their new racing yacht.
Having worked through many brokerage transactions here in Australia, John chose to specialise in the sale of new yachts and catamarans.
Buying a yacht is a big decision and John's pride lies in the respect of the owners he has had the honour to represent throughout his many years in yacht sales.
Greg Cockle Moody Sales

Greg's first boat was a Paper Tiger catamaran he built in the garage of his first apartment.
In 1983, Greg and his wife, together with their 8 year-old daughter sailed out of Sydney on their Ketch and turned left, not knowing where they were going or for how long they would be gone.
During the next four years they travelled up the Australian coast, through Papua New Guinea , the Caroline Islands onto the Philippines and Hong Kong.
For the next 11 years they lived and worked in S.E. Asia and Japan.
In 2006 they purchased their current yacht in the United States and spent two years sailing her down the coast of Mexico and across the Pacific through French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, Vava'u, Fiji , New Zealand and back to Australia.
Roger Poulter Dehler/Hanse/Moody Sales

Roger started sailing at school. During this time that he was lucky to be part of the sailing scenes in the film 'On the Beach'.
After a period of car racing and rallying, he returned to sailing in his early 30's crewing on 470's, Fireballs and the likes.
In the late 70's Roger started up a part-time boat building business, building all sorts of off-the-beach sailing boats.
He also helped deliver yachts back to Sydney and Melbourne after the Sydney to Hobart for several years during the late 70's and early 80's.
Roger sailed on 'Challenge 12' a few times, filling in for missing crew, during the lead up to the 1983 Americas Cup.
After a period of cruising in Europe on his own yacht, he came back to sailing and yacht sales in Australia, but specifically in Melbourne.

Nick got hooked on sailing when he started cruising around the south of England at 12 years of age.
Having decided he wanted to be a Yacht broker, he started at Castlecrag Boatshed in 1977, established Northbridge Yacht Sales in 1981, and relocated to the Sunshine Coast in 1989.
Sunshine Coast Yacht Sales was established in 1992.
After years of ocean racing and short course racing in the 80's and 90's, Nick concentrates a bit more on cruising, but still heads north every year in his much loved Hanse 370 for a bit of racing in the Whitsundays.
After 33 years helping people buying a yacht - with no end in sight - Nick takes pride in the ability to match people and boats, drawing on all those years of experience to guide buyers and sellers through the ups and downs of buying and selling!

More than likely the oldest of the personnel in Team Windcraft, Col hopes with age comes knowledge!
Col has been based on the Sunshine Coast all his life and was involved in the running of the Mooloolaba marina and brokerage before teaming up with Nick Cox 10 years ago to successfully run Sunshine Coast Yacht Sales.
They have been Queensland agents for the Hanse range of yachts since conception in Australia.
During that time they have wished bon voyage to many happy Hanse owners.

Tony's love of sailing started with OK dinghies and Starlings, then progressed to a Hartley 16 trailer yacht at 17, followed by keelboat racing when he was 20 years old.
To say sailing is Tony's passion would be an understatement!
Tony went into marine brokerage, initially for 7 years with other Companies.
In 1999 he started his own brokerage, Tony Newmarch Marine Brokers.
If you're buying a yacht Tony has a reputation for being an honest, knowledgeable person who does his utmost to get exactly the right boat for his purchasers.
During the 20 years he has been a Marine Broker, he estimates he has sold over 500 vessels.
At the Sydney International Boat Show in 2004 he saw the Hanse yachts and started talking to Peter Hrones and was offered the Hanse agency for New Zealand.
Since then the Hanse fleet in New Zealand has increased to 32 and he is proud to say that they have 32 very happy owners.
David Stiles Dragonfly Sales

David has been involved in the boating industry full time for twelve years after completing a successful career as a business operator in engineering and building services.
David started sailing dinghies at age 10 and is now our Multihull specialist having logged more than 10,000 sea miles as skipper of various catamarans and trimarans.
He has raced both short-handed offshore and inshore regattas and has also enjoyed extended family cruising.
David is thrilled to be involved in yacht sales with such a superb product as our Dragonfly Swing Wing Trimarans from Denmark.
