Windcraft Owners Rally 2012
Here's a wrap up from Windcraft Pittwater Rally 2012.
The sixth Pittwater Owners Rally organised by Team Windcraft on 31st March 2012 was an absolutely fabulous day.
There wasn't much wind... but the spectacular Autumn weather was perfect for a family day out on the water.
The morning race included an extras and non-extras division.
The fleet headed up Pittwater into a very light 5 knot North Easter.
Ballistic won the non-extras division and Bling won the extras race.
Lunch was a lovely leisurely affair.
We anchored in the mouth of the Basin and many families enjoyed a swim or some time on the beach.
Some even found time to cook lunch on the barbie.
The Windcraft Team were kept busy delivering champagne and beer to quench everyone's thirst on a hot day!
We had a little more breeze for the afternoon's Trophy race.
Congratulations to Penzance who was first across the line.
The spectacle of our fleet of 44 boats heading down Pittwater was absolutely stunning!

The evening Regatta Dinner was a lovely relaxed affair.
Everyone felt great after such a chilled day on the water and a couple of beers in the evening sun.
Frederico Kernot from Hanse 400 Saltair won the Helly Hansen Sponsor Lucky Prize of a set of Coastal Sailing wet weather gear.
Just moments before Frederico had spilled red wine at the table.
He told his table mates not to worry as in Italy this means good luck is on it's way.
Then his name was called... much to the disbelief of those left at his table!
Owners responded enthusiastically to news of the of the 2013 New Caledonia Cruise.
Mariner Boating outlined details of the planned voyage and options for those who would to prefer to fly out and have a holiday cruising round the islands. More news soon...
